Happy birthday, Collyn! By the way, that is rather lame, about the R - rated films. In California, you can go in as long as someone over 18 buys the tickets, and even then I've been buying them since I was 15! Go Collyn, anyway. And happy birthday to my friend Jaden, even though he never stops here...
I am so pissed off that I can't come up on my birthday weekend. Damn Nick for not getting the time off, and if he can't go then I really don't have the desire to. He's the only one that will frequent Kells (the bar in Portland that serves me and my crew, no question) as much as I do.
It was inevitable that Whitey Bird was going to move... It's easier for him. And hey, aren't you moving to Eugene with your girlie?

I liked Salem while I was there. It has a quiet charm that California lacks in most places. Sacramento lacks in the much-desired nature factor, but I'm going camping this weekend so it should be kinda relieved by the time I get back. I've blown off Berkeley and I'm considering other options as fast as possible... Fall of 2004 is closer than I thought... Kind of like objects in mirror are closer than they appear. :)
I miss you, Ben. I've been thinking about the camping trip that we went on ever since... Well, for a long while. We need to do that again. Hell, we need to do SOMETHING together soon. It has been too damn long. Your birthday, right? Well, I should be up in mid July. That's what I'm trying for. I'd like to go to Kells and everything to celebrate the big 2-0, but if it's not everyone's scene then I'm all for just hanging out with you and Whitey and the like. Yeah, Brian and Kirtanya will go with me, but I love dragging as many people as I can. Wherever Kal goes, the speed of her passing pulls with her a wake of those she loves, or something like that... I forget who said that. Brian and Nick have been friends for many many moons, and Brian's lonely, so I thought I'd bring them so they could pal around. At the same time, I'm going to want to have some exclusive pal time with you and Whitey and Joe and John when I come up, and I don't want Nick to feel left out. All in all, I can still come up next weekend if I want, but I'll be Nick-less, and half the point was celebrating with all my favorite people: you, Brian and Krit (I swear they'll be nice this time), Whitey and Joe, Nick and John. And when I do come up, I wanna meet Tiffany. I'm shooting for July 18th weekend, but am still debating saying "the hell with it" and flying up this weekend. Any thoughts?

Hey, you still have credit from trying to fly down last August, right? rates are super-cheap right now. You should get Whitey and whoever else to come down for the California State Fair in August! That place makes the Oregon State Fair look like a horseshoe toss! That would be fun.

Damn, I talk alot.

Hey, Ben? You're one of my best friends. I jsut wanted you to know that. Whitey, too. I love you guys. :)

Well let’s see now I have been in to see a sex store, bit freighting. Need to buy some loto tickets. Oh by the way don’t forget I can now get all kind of piercing and tattoos with out parental consent.

Man, I've been into the tat parlor about twelve times since my eighteenth birthday. Only problem is, I so often reevaluate who I am and what I mean, once symbol may wear out for me in place of another, so what is the use of making one permanent? I still want one, though. It's a vicious cycle.

Horoscopes for the birthday girl!

Gemini (May 21-June 20)
The first thing they tell you when you enter law school is that there is no justice. The cruel truth is that every legal process is tainted with favoritism and prejudice. In this realm where objectivity is supposedly the supreme value, subjectivity is rampant. The outcome of judicial decisions may hinge as much on human error and the unruly power of the imagination as on the naked facts. Once you accept all that as a given, then and only then will you have the potential to become a potent force for fairness and impartiality. While you're probably not starting law school right now, Gemini, similar principles will apply to the challenges you'll face in the coming weeks.

Cancer (June 21-July 22)
"It is impossible for man to look straight at the present," noted media prophet Marshall McLuhan, "because he is too terrified by it. We stand on the stern of the ship looking at the wake and saying, 'We're in very troubled waters.'" I'm presenting you with McLuhan's theory, my fellow Cancerian, because you are now poised to refute it. It's true that lately you've been fixated on turmoil unleashed in the past; it's as if you've been peering out of a portal in a tiny room at the back of a fine yacht and moaning, "Everything feels cramped and I'm in troubled waters." But I predict that any minute now you will leave your cramped quarters, bound upstairs, and stride to the front of the ship.
