Another worm.

There is a new worm trolling the net. It trys to shut your system down and messes up your office applications and is just annoying. I think I've only got a system maybe 2 with out the patch. So if you are running windows NT, 2K, Or XP then patch up.

Half this shit really wouldn't be a issue here. if the state would actualy figure out how to install firewalls and do propermanagemnt of their IT infastructure. Some offices can't even get on the internet while there are ones like mine who are fully exposed to the internet. There are other offices that can just barely send e-mail with out problems and have outlook/exhange all half functioning because of firewalls and other rediculous IT crap. They just need to start from scratch and do it all right from the get go. The problem with that is it would take a few million more dollars and months to do.

Pesky people calling me telling my time sheet is due today and they haven't gotten it yet. its the 1st thing in the morning let me at least finish off the morning before i turn it in and i know its due today, even thought pay period isnt actualy over until friday but the dumb bitch who is incharge of the pay stuff can't seem to handle that so they are often due a week or nearly a week (working week 5 days) early. But this next paycheck should be a tiny bit bigger which should help pay for Florida expenses that I'm having to start to save for.

And 90 percent of this shit wouldn't be an issue if Microsoft didn't have a virtual monopoly in mainstream userland, creating what biologists call a "monoculture." If you mow down a forest and replace it with acres and acres of one kind of tree, you're just asking for some insect or parasite or mold or other natural disaster to take down the whole forest.

One of the many reasons I'm a Mac guy.
