Stage 3 of 8 on my DSL activation is one step closer to being done. New Edge has ordered the 1st stage of loop provisioning for my service with the local telco. Perhaps another step closer by tomorrow or the end of today.
Today I flew through calls. I had a great inbread dumb shit from alabama today. He tried to threaten to sue and I told him we were not liable for what happens to their computer, he said that could be fixed its called congress. I said its in our Licence agreement. He ended up wanting a refund becuase he was too cheap to pay for support when he was too much of a tard to go online and find help on our website. It was pretty funny. That was prolly my worst caller of the day. I did have a couple other good calls today but I won't bore you anymore with work stuff.
Took some pictures thismorning and afternoon on my way to and from work. I've got a few more in my camera that need to be put on a server once I get one up and going with my DSL... One of these days I will get that stuff setup so that once I get the DSL everything will be ready to go....
I'm gonna go do something else now..

I got a question regarding wireless internet:
disadvantages??
It's only ten bucks a month through t-mobile and I got a laptop which is a pain in the ass to work with bunched up to the nearest wall. Plus I already have a WLAN card in my computator, although I know nothing about it.
oooh good question.
Downsides to WLAN
802.11x protocols are insecure. basicaly if someone wants in or on your network they will find a way. And they could do this from down the block. Where as a wired network someone has to get access to the physical network.
The T-mobile thing you speak of is only availbe in places like starbucks. Hotels etc. And places like mine and Chris'. So don't count on it at home.
Distance is sometimes limmited and will have trouble getting through walls and such.
the up side
Can wonder around the house with laptop and have internet from the kitchen to the bathroom, if you are properly equiped.
No wires
avaialbe in places like starbucks and hotels and a bunch of other places.
Suggestion overall?
( I'm in a nevermindness ).
unless you live real close to a starbucks or other public hotspot with broadband I'd say don't worry about it.
if you have broadband (cable modem, or dsl) I'd think about buying the equipment to be wirelss. Actualy Speakeasy has a deal that gets you the wireless equipment for 49.95 or around there. This is a very sweet deal for this stuff. They are selling it at a loss as a promotional dealy with new service I almost got it but I've already got plenty of gear.
