I think I'm gonna do the valet switch today. But that will involve a trip to radio-shack. I don't like the little red button they gave me so I'm gonna put a little black button on instead. and perhaps get that mounted up and maybe wires ran. Last night I placed the antenna and partly ran the wires for it. If the button goes well I will most likely be placing the car call sticker thingy tonight too. After that I will see about placing the shock sensor someplace that I will be able to adjust it later with out taking half my dash apart. Then maybe the rest of the alarm tonight or tomorrow depending on how long it takes me to get other stuff taken care of.
reading about your car modification the past week REALLY brings me back to working on the Neb. EVERYDAY it was something new. ome unforseen obstacle to become a new expert on. And if you think your situation is bad, lemme tell you this. I pulled off the ENTIRE dash of the Neb and unhooked EVERY SINGLE WIRE!!!! Lemme count.....fuck, too many.....hundreds? I had every cable taped and labeled, but even then it was so freaking confusing. In the end there was one cable with about 6 seperate wires in it. Well, lemme tell you, manuels on the dash configuration of a 78 executive lapalma motorhome simply do not exist. So I went to the local dodge dealer (Its a dodge 440....so I figured....) The guys at the dealer looked at a diagram my dad had handrawn and had no clue. So he refered us to a body shop in another town. He said the place was owned by 2 guys and one of em was an official dodge mechanic in the 70's. So we go on this little adventure and this dirty as mechanic guy looks at the diagram and without hearing our story says "That looks like a windshield wiper blade.....that looks like a.....yada yada yada". He knocked out I think 4 of the 6 wires, so we were able to finish plugging everything back in.
And I swear EVERYTHING inside and outside the neb has a story like that. There's not a thing you can p[opint to that I cant babble on with a crazy story of how something came to be.
Which is cool I guess.......................

the neb is pre computer 70s or at lest not nearly as automated as mine. Mine is a '94 highly automated and highly wired car. some of the features that were standard in mine still don't come in most cars today. The advantage is mine has nifty blugs that all the wires terminate at.
I will snap a pic or 2 of the area behind the glov box.
