Ipodded my ride. Over the weekend I managed to accumulate a few nicks, cuts, and scratches on my hands from the process of installing the Alpine kca-420i in my car. This is the adapter the allows my Alpine stereo to interface directly with my iPod.

Most of the cuts and scratches came from the process of extracting the cable that went to the CD changer in the trunk. Some very tight spaces to move around and some sharp edges as well...

I could have made it easier on my self and not relocated the cable and just unplugged it from the back of the stereo and plugged another one in and running things from there. But that would have included another set of challenges including getting the stereo out of the dash to detach the cable and attach the new one. I also could have put the iPod in the glove box to help make things easier but that would have required drilling or cutting into the glove box and making the iPod less accessible than I wanted it to be.
