New alarm is getting installed today. Spent just more than a month with an alarm that did very very little. It locked the doors when I was done with the car and clicked when I got into my car as it was attempting to do it's job as an alarm but couldn't because I had disconnected the siren. So by the end of the day I should have a functioning alarm again.
