I don't really watch any professional sports. I don't even pay attention to college teams. Which is nearly a crime considering I live in a college town. But with all the scandals and allegations around performance enhancing drugs I figure it is time for a new league of sports.
This new league of sports is for the athletes on the juice/roids/whatever performance enhancers they want. The Artificially Enhanced League's football players would giant and the sport would be more brutal than ever, maybe not any better. The league's Baseball players would be hit more home runs than anyone else. We can make the fields bigger for all the sports and the balls heavier.
If someone in the regular pros got busted for using performance enhancing drugs or substances they would just be moved to the AEL no questions asked. Still haven't quite worked out if someone in the AEL could be moved to the regular pros if clean for certain period of time or not. I'm leaning towards no. The only endorsement deals would be for athletic equipment and apparel providers, like Nike or Nautilus.
I see this as a win win. The people who insist on abusing their bodies get to abuse their bodies and compete against others doing the same, so the playing field is leveled. The public would have a whole new levels of competition to watch on their weekends and evenings. The athletes could keep making stupid amounts of money. Sure an athlete's career in the AEL my be short lived, because of complications from the chemical cocktails they take or an injury brought on by enhanced levels of competition, but they chose to be there by using performance enhancing substances.
But I still wouldn't watch any more sports than I do now. Just my idea for a solution and maybe make some people some money and level the playing fields. The proper pros can play clean and the rest can play against their own.

So there could be a roid curling team and Tour de Testosterone.
XFL was just a crazy league light on rules. the article never said all players juiced up, just lots of injuries from the lighter rules and lack of coin toss etc...
