Temp companies suck ass. Worthless I tell you. There was something about jobs at sysmantec in the paper saturday and I called then and asked for a call back and never got it but I called them back again today and they didnt seem to have a clue. And just said theyd call me back if/when something comes up. Which will be god knows how long or when. Frusrating i tell ya. I so need out of this crap ass dead end job. So now i just sit back and wait and keep workin here.

Speaking of waiting I get to wait more for my new Access Point which I really hope shows up tomorrow sometime but it unfourtnatly hasn't shiped yet, which means I will most likely be waiting a while.

This week will at least be a short week of work. Then Friday-ish movin Chris up to Portland that could prove interesting possibly fun and or more frustration.

Also I switched my e-mail stuff over to Comcast this morning. Which I fear will just be the 1st step in the process. As of now my IP address was still the same as of this morning when I left and that should be changing soon so the picture pages and some other stuff will go down for a while when that happens.

When I woke up in the middle of the night when nature decided to call me I remembered I didn't have to be careful not to disturb or step on a certain cat that I had speend the pervious 9ish days with. I kinda miss him already....

And Collyn will be coming up later this week. Things were kinda sketchy for a while there but we all know how parents can be.

It seems the broken stuff fixxed it self but it will break again soon due to the attbi commcast switch over tomorrow. This is really kind of annoying as I was on with them before it was attbi. I was on when it was all owned by Excite@home. I had a great e-mail address at the time too but then they had to go chapter 11 on me and i lost my notactually@home.com email address which i happened to be quite fond of. Not to mention the loss/stifeling/crippeling/model etc... of a few features and services that i enjoyed before and having to change my mail and new servers again.

Didn't sleep so good last night. Kept waking up and having little mini dreams of the fucked up nature...

From the sounds of things this could be a busyish week. Collyn in town, Chris moving, me showing someone new the ropes at work (its just Chris' replacement/my backup), My new access point, and who knows what else will be goin on this week.

Today I ordered my Proxim BG-2000 Access Point/Router. It should arrive on Tuesday wooohooo. Now I can ditch my POS Dlink 713-p POS that doesnt have the nuts to transferger files with the wireless. Not to mention the Proxim is just better all around and of better quality.

Since 9-11 more and more reasons, aside from terroism, to not fly have been poping up all over. the newest being an x-ray system that leave little to the imagination. Aside from people not being able to fly just cause their name sounds sounds a certain way. And the whole mess of other things going on to "make it safer" for us to fly. Which are all pretty well stupid and scary, in the 1984 orwell kind of way... If friendly skys means a body cavity search, credit checks (i couldnt fly simply be cause i have no credit according to some of the things people want to do, not to mention each time you get a credit check it hurts your credit...) People be afraid for your privacy because you may have as more than you really do. Beware the Total Information Awareness Act. Beware of Wal-Mart, yes i said wal-mart. I'm sure I sound like some raving loon but I've just been paying attention and I almost wish I hadn't been. Most people will never realize or know the implications of all the shit thats coming down the pike these days or whats gonna be coming down the pike in the months and years to come.

Tiffany is skippin' class today cause she came up/in late last night and damn was her kitty was happy to see her. I was pretty happy to see her too just really tired too.

Today we have another birthday to mention, celebrate, etc... Kala is 20. However I don't think I'd wish to be 20 again. Or 19 for that matter. I wouldn't mind them again but they are nothing too great, and by no means mile stones. Except that you go from teen to non-teen. But are still an adollecent until you reach 22 so it really doesnt matter much. But Happy Birthday Kala.

Got an e-mail from my sister who is someplace over on the east coast as a camp counsoler. I really didnt care if i heard from her or not while she was gone. But the 1st paragraph is pleeding with me to pass the e-mail onto mom one way or another, as my mom has yet to figure the whole online/internet/digital thing out, she sometimes has trouble with the TV, and we wont mention the cell phones.

Why oh why is it only Wednesday? Seems like it should be Thrusday or Friday, definatly not Wednesday. I suppose its all down hill from here.

Honey now has a good clean install of RedHat 8. Which means shes pretty much ready to move with Chris to portland. I'm getting close to done with the Full Albums Mp3 clean up on her too. just the Rs,Ses,Ts,Us,Vs,and Ws left (nothing after W), Which comes out to 74ish folders todo out of 240 something... Then I will most likely move to the Sound Tracks or Something like that. Now My laptop is just running XP, not with windows 2000, and not with RedHat. For the past several months my laptop was able to boot all 3 operating systems. Now just to add the stuff to it i'm gonna want/need.

Keanu Reeves, Matthew McConaughey, and some people I've never heard of are to start filiming "Thumbsucker" July 9th ish around Beverton, for about 7 weeks... Blah blah blah. I just summarized an e-mail i got from the Governers office. It goes on and on about how its supposed to help our local economy which is quite low in the toilet i really dont think 400ish new jobs will help too much. Sure more jobs are good but they aren't gonna last and the biggest bennift will be those hollywood types coming in and spending money on all sorts of stuff...

I have Caleb for the week. As we discovered more wettness in Tiffany's place saturday night right before bed so they are gonna go look at that and possibly tear up more carpet and padding... So Tiffany decided it would prolly be best to not have to keep him there and he was very uneasy at her parents house with the 2 over active small yippy type dogs (they dont yipp much at all really) and he settled in real quick last night. So i got a cute little cat to go home to this week.

Today honey gets some love. Gonna do her OS again, shes working fine its mainly for good measure before Chris moves to Portland. I think there are a couple other machines that will be getting attention too, my laptop and a potential mp3 player... And many other small little morsels of geeky goodness going on too im sure.

We got to move pretty much everything in Tiffany's apt one way or another or place to another and then back today. If not more. Stupid sump-pump going out and flooding it. It's mostly all cleaned up and put back together but just small stuff left to put back but that Tiffanys job cause I have no idea where she wants all her nik-naks to go.

But its bed time now. Didn't sleep so great on a hide-a-bed last night....

I also had weird dreams last night....

Tiffany ended up coming up last night. She didn't plan on it as she had mural printing all week and had been working til the wee hours of the morning, more like dawn really. But there were complications at her place yesterday. She woke up after only a few hours of sleep and found her bathroom, and entry way to be submerged and the water just kept working its way in to her aptartment so her carpet ended up soaked. So now her appartment is in all kinds of disarray, from what i hear anyways, All her furniture moved to one side of the living area and her bedroom. She can't get to her kitchen nor sleep on her bed. She was quite upset by this and got out of having to go print last night to deal with this and off work tomorrow to deal with this and the carpet man who is replacing the padding. So it is going to be an interesting weekend. Most likely a night will be spent at her parents house maybe even 2. Poor Caleb is already at Tiff's parents place with 2 small dogs that are just slightly bigger than him...

Didn't sleep so well last night. But prior to not sleeping there was a pretty good game of ultimate. I love it every time or nearly everytime we pickup new people that happen to be bystandards in the park its great. Sometimes confusing but always fun.

I'm sure some of you know this already but I love linux. I'm sitting here tring to secure some windows boxen from out side networks. With linux It would be a matter of a allow,deny list or a rule in the IP Tables/Chains system. But windows has only limmited function in these areas. Sure i can block packets from other systems but not allow them from specific systems. If there is ways todo these things its not easy, or requires other software which i dont want to deal with, not to mention cost.

Its official. Chris will be movin' to Portland on 4th of july weekend. Which kinda sucks but will be better for him with his job. Not too many friends left to hang out with in Salem now. I'm just keep finding my self more and more ready to be out of here. Now just to find a way thats doesnt involve enlistment, or the selling of my soul.

I need a new job. Between me just not caring about stuff around here and the virus outbreaks I'm getting annoyed. They want me to fix it. I do and suprise suprise 3 days later there are more virus' floating around. I've told them time after time I can only do what I am doing. They want me to make it never come back when in fact that would be the job of a) the state or b) Chemeketa someone needs to buy a damn firewall for that network segment. Do they? of course not it would cost them money and its cheaper just to have me fix it every time than to drop anywhere from $400 to $2000+ on a piece of hardware. There are other things i could do but those things would make it difficult for barb and dave to setup classes and there for not acceptable. Personnel Source please call me about a new symantec opening soon so i can drop this place like bad bad habbit and hear about their suffering and pain after im gone and everything goes to shit.

I took me awhile to get to sleep the last couple of nights and I don't know why. And if it keeps up I'm gonna be annoyed with that too.

I've moved all the pictures in the incoming folder into proper folders and subsorted a couple of those (Chris and Tiffany both have their own folders in People now.). I really should do some more subsorting and maybe make some new categorys for stuff.... It may be a while as what i did last night took a few hours to complete and isn't exactly fun. Not to mention I've been working on cleaning up and taking care of music folders, yes all of them, on honey which is also time consuming. We need a trained monkey to do that work for us that way we can pay him with banannas or something like that.

Well it wasn't that bad but it was another one where I was back at Wafer world AKA: Mitsubishi Silicon America, SUMCO, and MSA. Just being there is bad enough not to mention working there and dreaming it more than a year after being gone is just creepy.

Not to mention I had trouble getting to sleep lastnight and staying asleep then I hvae that dream. Great night I tell you great night...

Worked on that MP3thingy for Chris last night. I think we got it working for him but we will prolly work on it somemore tonight and or make it a diffrent system with a better sound card cause he was bitching about the quality of sound last night.

SCO and I.B.M are gonna go to court soon as I.B.M has decided noncompliacnce to SCO's deadline of Friday the 13th... I think SCO is gonna die. Sure they have the lawyer that was leading the DOJs suit againg Microsoft but what fucking good did he do? MS got a slap on the wrist and hasn't stoped any of anti-competeive ways.

Hopefuly later this week sometime I can get some of the pictures in incoming put in there proper places and clean out the incoming section... Does anyone think that the number of pictures I hvae on-line is excessive? I'm begining to think I do. Someplace in the negiborhood of 1500 if not more, and growing for sure. As there are so many it can be difficult to manage sometimes so I think about taking a bulk of them down/away from the internet and just keeping a few of my favorites online and rest tucked away safely. Would anyone be intrested in buying a set of CDs with all my pictures up until today or whenever i last put photo's up, for something like $5? I'd mail em to you and everything. Then you wouldn't have the pain of dialup or my limmited upload speed to view them, you could view them anytime and do what you wanted with them, (as long as you dont go reselling them or copying them). Or would any one be intrested in purchasing prints of any of my photos? Again I'd send them to you and deal with that stuff... If you like these ideas or have other ideas please plase comment, e-mail, or IM me.

Tiffany is nuts. So we get her place rearagned a week or 2 ago. Then erlier this week she goes and redoes her room and even more of her lvinging room. And gets more furiniture to put in as well. Anyone who has been here knows theres no lack of furniture. Amazingly enough she has managed to get everything in a place that works for it and not over croud the rooms. We stayed up until around 1am putting the new pieces of furniture together.

Also I got today off for my extra effort and hours put forth and Wednesday night and Thursday morning... So yay extra weekend.

I've had like 4 or so bags of skittles in the last 24 ish hours. I don't like the purple ones as much. The Orange ones are pretty good though. I'd like it if they sold bags of each flavor of Skittles or many other candies for that matter. Like if you wanted all pink starburts you could get all pink starburst, or Jolly Rancers you could get all of your favorite flavor in a bag and not have to sort though others. They let you do it with Jelly Bellys, and Nerds to an extent. So why not other candies....

So I worked til 7 last night. Then went and played ultimate at waterfont til around 9. Then went to Chris' place with Tiffany and hung out there and sat in the hot tub for a while. Then went home and to bed around 11. Up at 6:30 to come into work by 7 to finish up cleaning up those damn viruses. I really don't like the people who make those things. I mean having to deal with windows is bad enough as it already is. Let alone having windows infected computers getting infected with more viruses and spreading and fucking windows up even more. grrr...

Virus outbreak at work which means extra work. So guess who is coming in later today to deal with it. Which isn't all bad just a pain for paper work cause I've already turned this pay periods time sheet in which means i add it on my next one if i rembemer.

Either my keyboard is dieing or my computer at work is just acting up. which wouldnt been too suprising either way. Nope its just netscape and its fine again. My arrow keys stoped working to move the currsor around.

I got the MP3player done for chris. It works out rather well. I called it N.A.P: Network Contolled Audio Player. It will talk to honeyryder who has a whole ton of mp3s and then with a web browswer you tell it which mp3s to play. All that needs to be done to it is turn it on and plug it into the network and stereo. The next setup is to hook it up at Chris place and be sure it talks to honey like it should or find a way to make it...

Anyone know of a good software based networked remotecontolled mp3 player? Ya me niether. For a thingy I'm workin on, for Chris. I've got a lot of stupid little coding type projects half going. I really should pick a couple of them and finish them up. Between the decent weather we had been having and my general lazyness and weekend migrations to Eugene, it will still take a while... But today I am gonna get that MP3 thingy for chris going one way or anoter. It will most likely take all day as the machine I will be working with is slow as all hell.

Chris realized last night that we can now go to Malibu Grand Prix and race around in their super gocarts on their track. I was wondering how long it would take him to realize that we could do that now...

Now I just need a real job and a car. anyone got one of either that i can have? didnt think so...

So i think the class is going ok. Its pretty much out of my controll now. Also had a virus last Friday but it should have been handeled by the computers anti-virus software. I was gonna deal with it today but I have to go to some damn meeting at some strange place that i really don't want to deal with...

I got Tiffany for the rest of the day. Which is a good thing. I just hope work doenst spill over too much today cause i'm not in the mood for it

Saw the italian job today. Then Chris somehow proceeded to convince Jon and I to sneak in to Reloaded after we were done with the Job. The Italian job wasn't bad but wasn't super either.

Tomorrow I go in early for work. And pray all goes well with the mainframe class that we are having... Which i still dont know if is 100% ready to go but i can hope.

So I'm licenced now. Now i must find a way to afford a decent/driveable type car with no credit and no money to really speak of. This may get tricky.

My dad had the best reaction, so far, when he learned that I have finaly got my slacker ass licenced. Maybe I can convince him to afford or help me afford a car...

I just read some of the gory technical details of a the apple ][s and damn they were symplisct machines I admire that. Hell I admire the whole history of apple. Woz is on my list of heros and has been for years now...

Game was so on last night. So many people at Ultimate down at waterfront we broke off and started 2 seperate games. Something like 18 or so people playing it was fun. Best part of all is I don't hurt from it, well my big toe on my left foot does but I don't hurt all over like I did for a while.

The weather has been so great as far as I'm concerned. And if its too warm I just hang out in my room which stayed at something like 70ish degrees all day yesterday.

I had some strange strange dreams last night. It took me awhile to get to sleep too. I think that was because ulitmate though as its hard to sleep right after a work out and it was most defintatly a workout.

Tiffany will be up later today and we are possibly thinking about going to some gallerys in portland as they are open free on the 1st thursdays of the month. Not sure if we are going though.

Work is sooo slow and we have a really stupid class coming up next week that will most likely go straight to hell because its a mainframe type class and I know basicaly nothing about mainframes other than they are big. So I can't even really ask the right questions or tell people the right things to get shit done for the class which i was aganist having in the 1st place... stupid ODOT. I've never seen a mainframe class hosted by STEPS go well.

I'm hungry. Ready to leave work and go find something to eat... One more day of work left this week for me yay.

I havent heard word of a game going on in a few days I hope just cause i missed a couple they didnt just stop calling me. I dont think that would be the deal as they always need as many people as they can get. It is usualy a very unorganized thing so i wouldnt be too suprised if there wernt games going on. Nor too suprised if i just didnt get the call or what ever.

Yesterday I got LVM setup on Honey. LVM is pretty neat stuff, I'm starting to understand how it works not just what it does and more of what it does or allows to be done. Soon she gets her OS reloaded I think, I may just leave it, it's not really broken just a program or 2 that are not working like they should which is arugeable if they are even nessary.

I was right about yesterday. It sucked, bad even. But after work I went to Chris' place and worked on Honey and setting up LVM, I still have a ways to go on that. Then came home to help my nitwit sister put together the last of her project for some businness class that she has, helped her with webpage stuff. So i didn't get to bed til well after my bed time after finishing with my sister and calling Tiffany back...

The good news is Apple droped the prices of their powerbooks...

Why is it only Tuesday? it feels like it should be Wednesday or Thursday already. Maybe its the fact that I wont be working on Friday.

About a 30min left until i get to spend the rest of the day being bored and basicaly tourtured while at work in a strange building for long hours... Well the long hours of today will help make up for not working on Friday at all which will hopefuly be worth it.

Saw The Recruit last night. Pretty good aside from the whole ICE 9 thing, which is way way over the top and unpossible.

They are going to ask me all kinds of questions that I don't care about and come up with all sorts of supid shity reports for my to make/pull from a crapy database... I sooo hope I get a call soon for a job a symantec but its prolly another few weeks off. But on the plus side I have all of friday off...
