I thought it was Wednesday. I didn't know what day it was when I got up, well i thought it was midweek/humpday. It took me the the better part of my shower this morning to figure it out.

Gots a 3 day weekend coming up. I've got no idea of what we are gonna do but hey thats ok. Maybe just rent a couple 3 movies and chill its cheap which is good.

I think I had an Idea for something to post or make but I forgot it now. Oh well.

Gots some music playing with Tiffanys Air-Port Express and power book because I'm too lazy to install Itunes player on my laptop. Once there is a winamp plugin I will be happy.

Played some Star Craft with Mike. Worked on Tiffany's digital pictureframe, broke it. But we got replacement screen on the way. Thats should fix it if not I'm in trouble. If it gets that bad maybe I will just use my old sony or something.

Work sucks. I need a new job. I'm starting to think there is a conspiracy against ben getting a new job. Maybe I will flip burgers like 80 hours a week to keep up on my bills and stuff.

Got most stuff worked out on the server last night. Foundout one of the drives was about to DIE on us chris is getting that replaced under warranty. There have been a couple new requests made but that will be easy once I get around to them and more info too.

Chris' Girlyfriend is pretty cool too. Nice, easy going, smart, thats about all i know so far. She likes Chris and he likes her so its all good i guess. Better some of the other things Chris got him self into in the past.

Tiffany got an Air Port Express. I just set that up. It's pretty cool. Just tell I tunes to play to the airport express and hook it up to the Stereo and boom music from your computer coming out of stereo. Yes yes many of us have done this before but where you able to do with out having to hook extra wires to your computer? The Airport express also sports a USB port to attach a printer. It serves up 802.11G, Music, and prints. Another cool toy from apple.

Work on honey isn't going as planned so far. We have had some trouble moving som files. 1st we fscked (like scandisk) host drive but it looked good, checked for badblocks (surface scan) but none found. So this morning I fscked the new drive, errors reading all over the place, now its running a surface scan. When Chris gets up I'm gonna make him exchange the drive over at costco. I think thats where he said he got it. Stupid Western Digital piece-a-crap.

So Nina has like 100,058ish miles now. Got some pics. I will maybe do something with those. I did post them on the BMW-Forums.

It's like 10am and noone here is up but me. We are at Chris' parents place and his parents are out of town so Chris came down from Portland to houes sit and I came up to work on the computer and hang out. I'm hungry too.

Tonight Nina will hit 100,000 miles. It's almost kinda sad in a way. But I know she is capable of at least 2 and 3 times that many miles.

My watch was ready to go but they fucked up. They put the glowy marker on the wrong side of watch hand so you can see the attachment point where before it was invisible because it was attached from the bottom not the top. So maybe tomorrow it will be ready.

I've got some CDs to burn and I'm still waiting for the Fedora DVD to download. If that doesn't finish before time to head up to Salem then too bad for me... stupid multi-Gig download taking more than 24 hours.

Caleb just escaped again another cat sometimes taunts him then he springs at the screen door and it opens. Then Caleb ends up outside chasing the other cat or hiding before he realized what happens. I got him with out too much of a problem. I slammed my laptop shut to get up and fetch him so I lost that multi-gig download... oh well better than than Caleb or Tiffany would kill me.

They moved me from the basement to the main floor at work today. I don't know who I sit next to. I don't care too much either cause I most likely won't be sitting next to them for more than 6ish weeks. Unless I can find a new damn job 1st.

I'm sitting here tring to work on a coverletter for at least one of the 3 jobs I'd like to apply for but alas I've never done a cover letter, let alone 3 of them so i will most likely be sitting here all night looking for good examples and stealing bits and pieces of others out there to make mine.

Tomorrow: Get watch, Go to salem to work on honey at her birth place (chris' parents place) and drink in the hottub chris' parents just got and who knows what else as they will be outta town for the weekend.

Got my books back from Lisa today. Plus one even which is pretty cool. The new one is a Java Script book from OReilly. Lisa will be going to new york on Saturday for more schooling and stuff. Good for her.

TIffany got her replacement battery for her powerbook today. Apple had a report of 4 batterys having a problem with over heating and they recalled like a ton of them and Tiffany's battery was one so shes got a new one now.

I got volume 4 of Futurerama and it's the last of them . So I have them all on DVD now.

I get my watch back Friday.

The week seems to be dragging on a bit.

XP SP2 is out for consumers not just pros anymore. so go get it.

The mornings and days have been gray skied for the last couple a three days. Very mellow. Sometimes a shower somtimes a gust of win, puddles on the street but most ly calm. Seems a bit early for this but it's Oregon and it does what it wants when it wants. Snow in March, or 70 degrees in march it doesn't care.

Kala and Annie have some sort of comic that will most likely be living someplace around here or a related site (badcommand) details still need to be hashed out. Perhaps I will see Kala on line later and that will happen or a email or something.

Season 4 of Futurerama is out on DVD but I can't buy it with out a) permission from Tiffany b) a new job.

One more laptop sold. One smallish hitch though. This is only that he doesn't have the money right now but is writing me a check for later. So latter i will most likely cash it rather than a deposite for a coupel reasons. Cash easier to breakup. 2 harder to bounce that way. I seriously hope I'm not goin out on too much of limb for this guy. I kinda know him from work but not real well is one of my reasons for hesitation, the other is he is going to Iraq. But because he is going to Iraq is one of the reasons I want to do this for him. As he will be mostly cut off from the world.

Tiffany got another ebay item in the mail today. I think its a shirt for me as she was lookin at shirts the a week or 2 ago, not to meantion its a soft flexible item in a envelope that feels folded up. Most likely a BMW or geeky shirt of some kind.

Hopin Nathan or David pull through on new jobs. Especialy the David one because that one sounds like a more better job from what little tiny bit i know. But for it to sound better just means 1) not on the phones all day long 2) decent pay.

The wedding was nice. Tiffany is going over the over 1 gig of pictures that she took. The Rev. doing the cermoni was also the Father of the bride. He did a good job and held it together better than many expected. Talk about a difficult time. Not only giving her away but doing the work too.

Dusty's site looks like it has been compromised. Meaning hacked and someone else has put their own stuff on the main page. I'd tell him but he isn't online and thats pretty much the only that i know of to get in touch with him.

Later today Tiffany and I are gonna head to Salem to pickup a laptop from Chris and check my dads new place out.

Scratch Porltland insert Grants Pass. My cousin Shara is getting hitched today. I had known but forgot until I talked to my dad about stopping by on our way up to Portland. So we changed plans. Tomorrow we are gonna head up to Salem for Laptop Exchange with Lag Master White.

Tiffany is out looking for a dress to wear to the wedding.

I am conserned though. So far all of the cousins have been getting married in order by age. There is only one cousin between me and my turn. Hopefuly Dave will hold things up for a while longer.

Got my hands a public beta of the PS2 game Kill Zone. Kinda fun. A 1st Person Shooter online with the PS2. Only played a little so far. My skills are very lacking on the PS2. I imagine so for the PC as well as I haven't really gamed much in something like a year when I played Half Life through for fun. But even then I didn't back into the online stuff like I used to do.

Yesterday I washed and waxed my car. Today my car is all fuckin dusty again. So another rinse or wash may be in order before Tomorrows trek to Portland.

Speaking of Portland I need to prep by finding and/or downloading some Linux for honey. Honey will be getting a new board, processor, hard drive. I'm not sure what her total cpacity will be when we are done but right now it's right around 400GB so maybe we will get to .5 of Terrabye. I'd like to make it to 1 T sometime but by the time we manage that it most likely will be common place...

Shoudl prep my cameras for the trip too. Just cause ya never know.

Got my car back... Not to wait for the sun to go down far enough so that I can wash wax then driver her. Maybe just wash her. But at the very miniumum wash and drive are nessary.

The weekend is getting closer. Thats good. Payday is closer too. We goin' to Portland this weekend to work on honey the server. Maybe vist my Dad and Cat on the way up or down.

The work on Tiffany's digital picture gram has begun. So far we are still at the software part. This one will be network enabled/ready. This one will also be a compaq Armada at the core. Not a Dell Latidute CPi like mine.

The word on the floor has it that the teams at work are going to start shifting around and supervisors are going to start disapearing like so many employees have so far. Teams shifting around means that there will be some time off the phones to move around.

I saw pictures of BMWs new 3 series today. It's more grown up. I think to make room for the 1 and 2 series (if those come to the US of A) not to mention the possible 4 series. The odd numbered cars will be saloons or sedans as us in the US call them and the evens will be coupes, thats 2 doors. I miss my bimmer.

Laptop for Tiffany's project like mine showed up. I think we are gonna have to find a regular power adapter for it as the one that came with it is a HUGE docking station. But the power supply should be buyable for around $20 on the ebay. Still keeping costs well below $300 like this los res looks like butt turd of a digital frame. Seriously i saw one of these at the good guys a couple days ago it was grany and the pixels were rather big and the images on screen looked like shit.

Saw a photoblog yesterday with a lotta really good pics. Makes/made me want to go out and take some good pics of my own. I took a few pics but havent seen them yet. I have to unload my small camera and large on and see what I got. I know I got a M3 in a couple...

I was lazy and didn't post yesterday.

Today I've upgraded a laptop and started using it. It's a bit slower, but its got more ram and its quite a bit smaller and portabled. I've also put a better/diffrent wireless card in. its 802.11a/b there isn't an A network but I might make one for the speed. Perhaps hack on my AP and see if it will allow A to work. or covert my old sony in a n access point using the other 802.11A card...

I also switched to XP on my desktop and have been updating it and installing goodies. I still have lots of goodies to install on both systems. Stuff like VIM. and Putty. Stuff I use to make the site.

Chris will be around later today. He won't have laptops for me but I think we are gonna go up and do the server stuff next weekend and can pick them up then.

Fridaynight we took Tiffanys car to Mikes place in Corvalis. Took some pics for him and made video of drunkness on the couch.

I got home. Checked the mail. Noticed 2 smallish boxen on the porch for Tiffany. The contents of which remain unknonw has me curious. I'm pretty sure they were Ebay purchases. Stacked they stand about the height of a 2 letere bottle and are a bit wider than a CD case is in both. One is more of a cube than the other the other is just slightly shorter... Oh well gonna have to wait til she gets home. in like 3 hours.

Put the Mike(-row, hahaha) beers in the fridge for drinking later tonight or weekend and nextweek. Or whenever I want a Mike beer.

Work went by fairly quick this week. Thats good.

Honey has been upset lately. Thats bad. I'm gonna have to vist here some time soonish...

Some good work related news my job will make it until at least October 1st. And we can wear shorts when ever we want now. I'm not sure how long the shorts thing will last but it's something a few of us agents were happy about. Now I just need some clean shorts as they all got dirtied up on vacation.

I have yet to drop use of the sony as the Den/Office/Computer room is typicaly too warm to be hanging out in. But the sony has only gotten worse and much much more annoying.

I'm supposed to participate in some beta test for a game called Kill Zone or something like that on the PS2. That could be kinda fun hopefuly it doesn't suck.

I'm ready for weekend again. I'm ready for a new job. I'm ready for a good time. I'm not ready for a new week, or my job to end.

Tiffany also got a a box today. I took the liberty of opening it cause 1 of the thing s was for me. Wireless cards Orinoco 802.11A/B cards that were picked up for like nothing on ebay and I paid a ton more for my Orinoco 802.11B.

I got hold of a copy of Pirates of Silicon Valley. It was a TV movie for TNT I think. About the starts of Apple computers and Microsoft. Good stuff. I am geek.

So I'm thinking about getting ready to forsake my Sony laptop as the power is acting up on it again and fixing it is a pain. I have a Compaq that I am thinking about switching to while slower but smaller, and larger ammoutnt of ram laptop. If i do i will just move larger drive from my sony to the Compaq and Ghost it. I ghosted the XP image from one of the Compaqs last night. It has been a long time since I used ghost and it was primary tool while i worked at Chemeketa Community College as the computer tech for STEPS. I've kinda missed my spooky friend.

My car goes in for her body work Monday. So I will get to wash and I might even wax it again this weekend before she gets her body worked.

Talked to bunches of people today and voiced that I was tired of talkin to customers and did't wannt be on the phone anymore my supervisor looked at stats and said relax, goof off dont worry about it. So I did mostly nothing for the last 20 min of work. Which was cool.

Thinking about going to Portland durring weekend and giving the lovely linux box HoneyRyder some love. as she has been acting up and panicing on Chris recently. Time for some upgrades and love I think. As all Chris really knows how to do is restart her.

When I was walking home today I noticed one of those LED signs telling all passerbys on Oak St what the temp was. It was 94. Its 80 in my ACed home.

Saw a/the Dinan 740il today. Got some pics. Also got one of the m5 again. I will think about putting them up someplace good. I'd love to earn a dinan badge for my car.

We er. Tiffany got the deposite for the repair of my special girl. So hopefuly she gets in later this week for her body work maybe early next week. They say it will take a couple days to do and I'd like to have her for the weekend. You know, just in case.

I still need to find a new job. The good news is I'm far enough ahead in my car payments to skip a payment hopefuly I don't have to but I can if need be.

Someone got lucky and had cost come to under $600 for estimates on damages to my car. Hopefuly repairs will start within the week or at least very soon. Tiffany has my car for the remainder of the day because she took it for esitmate then had a courthouse wedding to go to (her cousin) then work from there.

Today was the 1st day back to work. It sucked. Highlight of the day: taking a 30 min 32 second 900 call at $2.95per min. Costing the customer someplace in the area of 90$ she knew of the charges.

Like 4 people disapeared in the week i was gone. Some of them was cool/good people too. Kinda sad. but good for them sticking it to the man.

I've also decided to try and figure out how in the hell to make RSS/RDF/XML somedamn thing feeds for the new features on the main page. possibly updating my MT templates as well to include better feeds....

I waxed my car yesterday mainly to just to do it. It was getting kinda dark by the time I finished so I went out side and took a look this morning. She is very shiney today and very smooth. No body shops were open yesterday so no esitimates I think Tiffany is gonna take it to a place tomorrow morning before she goes to work and get it looked at. Since the waxing the car damage doesnt look to bad but I'm still getting it fixed cause 1) she tried to run 2) its a BMW.

Today we really should do something out the Den/Office it's messy and needs some rearangement and clean up. So some site services might go down for a period of time if the server ends up getting moved.

Tiffany and I decided to vist Mike in Corvallis and exchange a Disco Ball for some of Mikes home brew beer. We help him bottle, we finish this process then decide to go someplace else around 9:45(i think). Comin outa Mikes place its cool out so I go to my car and grab my fleece. Noticing another car backing out or preparing to back out of the driveway near by. I noticed because they look kinda lost. So we head to safeway for refreshments on foot because it's only a few blocks away. We get to 5th St and C st. Hear crunch and Mike says they just fuckin hit your car and we run to get in front of and or get the attention of the Saturn tring to speed from the scene. The Saturn one of the sportier 2 door makes. The driver was on the phone flipping out and I think was on the phone when it happened. Tiffany handles getting their info while Mike and I check damages after I pull my flashlight from my trunk and produce a camera from my pocket (thanks tiff). Take some shots of my car the the other car and some paint flakes they left behind on mine. About this time the 5 occupants of the other car decide to come look. My car has suffered a minor dent and a bit of paint being marred as well. Theirs however has a much larger dent in the bumper.

Turns out the drivers insurance was $200 a month for liablity, think she has had a few blemishes on her record? I pay around 170 for full coverage. Apperntly they had just had the bumber replaced as well. Driver is also getting married later today now that it is 2:15am.

Today I was going to wax my car... Instead I will get esitmate(s) and quite possibly get our friend dropped from her insurance depending on how much it costs and how nice I/We feel like being.

Had we not been walking to get shizt at safeway it woulda been a hit and fuckin run. And I would sure as hell be extra pissed.

Their bumper is fucked. Girl is having second thoughts about the marriage because it is a sign of some kind and they fucked my saturday.... Saturns are not dent proof. Germans make cars like tanks.

I've come up with a couple new ideas for the digital pictureframe. So far they are not working out. Anyone know of a screensaver that will display files that have been uploaded/added to the directory after the screensaver has started? The XP one doesn't. Cause as it is if files are added they won't display unless the screensaver gets turned off and then is allowed to come back on. This is an annoyance more than anything. If there is such a screen saver out there please let me know there will be much happiness.

Tomorrow is end of Offical Vacation time. But the start of weekend time so its All good. Then its back to work. And I don't think it has burned to the ground while I was gone and thats too bad.

We may do some rearranging and cleanup of the den today. We may not.

I got over 300 Spams since Tuesday but my hosting company does a very good job of filerting them out of my regular mail i just go clear out the spam they catch so it doesnt use my mail quota up.

Still working on the page for the Digital picture frame. Need to get the pictures together of it and get those up then reread the thing to be sure it makes sense and then it will go up.

I wanna go for a drive too. Not sure where or when or who. But after fixint yesterday all I did was stomp on the brake some in the driveway to be sure the stupid check light didn't come on.

Yesterday at some point the drive that hosted/held all my shit on my server decided life was no longer worth working. All the sudden my share on the server had nothing in it all my pictures GONE! I had the foresite a few weeks ago to backup the photos as i noticed a few had seem to gone bad so i ran the linux version of checkdisk/scandisk it found some problems, bad clusters/blocks. I removed the bad pics then backed them up. last night i recovered from back up but lost all photos since the backup including Crater lake. This sucks yes but it could have been upwards of 2GB that was lost which is muc much worse than a couple weeks and a few hundred megs. So remember boys and girls make backs ups. I lost a lotta crap. Like the whole dev copy of junknstuff. Tiffanys stuff is fine so is Nathans this is one of the reasons diffrernt users get diffrent drives that way only 1 person gets screwed no everyone. I will most likely hack my self a back routine from some shell scripts soon to help prevent this in the future...

On the plus side Another laptop is sold. we got the server to handle the printing form Tiffanys powerbook where as the Dell running windows 2k did not like printing for the powerbook at all. Right now the plan for the dell is Digital pictureframe. We need to go to a craft store and pickup a shawdow box and matting.

Also I plan to do replace the brake light switch on my car. The switch was in portland last night so hopefuly here in Eugene, as today was scheduled delivery date.

Tiffany is now shopping around for a laptop to make another frame out of.

My laptop is starting to do the crapy power thing again. I had fixed it more than a year ago. I really don't feel like taking my laptop clear down to the plastic and individual components. Perhaps it will take on a new task and I will use one of those Compaqs...

I've had an Idea for a company/biz for a few years. Basically you call 1900 or 1800 internetbitch or something like that and you can ask your question a skilled search engineer will then attempt to find an answer for you. Great for setteling bets , getting directions from 1st and Main to 123 Outamy Way, finding out when the next showing of that movie is at which theater. Perhaps even make purchases online over the phone? Well you get the idea. Now that I've put it out there somone is gonna go do it and I'm not gonna get dime 1.

Tomorrow is Crator lake. I'm gonna get my toys ready (camera(s?), GPS). Tiffs parents are taking us so it's not gonna be an unessary expense which is good.

Job hunting in the Oregon econmy is like hunting for an endangered species. 1) you gotta have a very specialiezed for that job 2) there aren't many left.

I also got a tip from Cat that Wells Fargo would be a good place to try and I could be a Banker not just a teller, they will train no need to be a teller. Only problem is I'd have to wear a tie, which means I'd have to learn to tie a tie.

3:04pm: Ordered a new brake light switch for Nina I've gotten the brake ciruit failure message a few times in the past but now it doesn't want to go away so it's been one of those things was eventualy gonna happen. Shouldn't take more than a hour to fix. Hopefuly I wont break anything else durring the repair process...

We went to Tiffs Company gathering. She got a $50 giftcard for Olive Garden but she was really wanting the car care kit. I was too.

Crator lake has been moved to Tuesday.

6:59pm: Still don't know what in the hell the problem is. The damn thing works fine on the test server which does use the same database and the SQL querey is the same. The pimpin page works fine.

7:20pm: Ok I think it was a problem with the version of php on my local server vs the one at fatcow. or just a config diffrence. Anyways i had to just move the function/proceedure above the last one and it worked. YAY! No I havent been working on this the whole time. Just off and on. I also had a database problem its fixed now too.

Tiffany bought some good car care stuff.
