I've recently uploaded a handful of photos to a stock photography site. I did this with a few things in mind. One of witch to possibly motivate me to take/make more photos with some kind of goal in mind or concept. The other to maybe eventually collect payment.
So far not so good though. Of the images I've submitted only a handful have been reviewed and those were all rejected. I've got a few more in the queue waiting approval or rejection. This is only mildly discouraging and only makes me want a new camera even more as the rejection reason on a bulk of the images is because of noise in the image. I've seen others say their acceptance rate when way up when they upgraded their cameras.
I may just have to wait until I have a new camera to really have the stock thing work out. But I will keep submitting stuff.
I was invited to a Halloween party next week. Aka the what in the hell am I going to do about a costume...
Last year I just grabbed a robe for a last minute deal with Chris and Jana. It wasn't a costume. The year before I was DJ. Jesus which I feel set the bar pretty high. Especially for me who up until I then hadn't really done anything for Halloween for years and years.
So again I am left with the what the hell am I gonna do for a costume question. I always get such brain blockage when attempting to think up a costume, which is part of why I never do anything.
So I'm on the facebook now. I realized I was resisting for no reason. I had plenty of reasons but none really all that solid or that would stand up to anything more than a mild gust of logic and reason. So I caved and signed up.
I will be pretty selective about who I add. I had thought about only adding people I've had a drink with. I had also thought about only adding people I've have shared a bite with. But I don't think eats or drinks will actually be the criteria of which I will decide I am friends with someone. But it won't hurt matters if you have had a drink or bite with me.
Halfway through October already and no posts... Not sure what there has been to post about really.
Fall is really taking hold. Lots of rain, lots of fall smells, trees leaves changing and some leaves falling already. I really should get my camera out and go see what I can see.
This weekend going to be a fairly busy one. Possibly a trip to Portland on Saturday, after a trip to the Barn in the morning. Then tomorrow evening Kala and I are going to a benefit thing for Greenhill.
