Run and Gun In September at Oktober fest Jana told me I would be doing photos for the wedding announcements. I didn't hear anything else about the shoot until earlier this month. Then when we did to the shoot yesterday it was windy and quite cold, we were getting showered at times with frozen rain.

While we were not on a time line, we were moving at a pace that would lead a casual observer to think we were running late for the actual wedding. Normally I would like to have taken some more time and really focused on things but Chris, Jana, Kala and my self were all cold, Chris and Jana even more so than Kala and myself. We had some decent ideas but we had trouble really getting things to come together. Sometimes we were too fast for the flash which seemed to have slowed by the cold, sometimes Chris's head was blocking Jana's, sometimes I just missed the shot or the wrong thing was in focus, etc etc.

The cold turned it into a run and gun kind of thing. We walked and shot with out stopping at points. We were at the location for at maximum a half hour. We may have to re-shoot but that is what happens when you rush.

CMS/Blogs

Wow MoveableType 4 is different and spiffy compared to the 2.6 this blog is run on. While I am sure it is up to the job I need it for, but honestly I'm too lazy and frankly no longer skilled enough to go modify all the templates to change the look and feel of the thing.

Wordpress is almost too simple for what I am looking to do, and may require multiple installations to get exactly what I need. But it is quite easy to change the look and feel of it and extend it with some other nifty add-ons.

I've got the domain for the project picked out and ready. It's still waiting for me to pick which content management/blog solution I want to go with and then it it will be waiting for content.
