On Friday Kala, myself and Father Augustine went cross country skiing. This would be my first time on any kind of ski. It was also Kala's first time cross country skiing, but she has done plenty of down hill in her time. Augustine has done a bit of it before.
I only fell a few times, I think I really started to get into the swing of it near the end of our little outing at Willamette Pass.
We stopped in at a great little Brewpub in Oakridge on our way home and had some great beers and conversation before starting back to Eugene. But we stopped Dextor Reservoir to catch the last of the sunset, then we were on our way back home.
It was a good day.
Kala and I took them on a mini food tour and just showed them around Eugene on Saturday. We ended up walking over a lot of the UofO campus and covered a good area of down town as well. They raved about the french-toast and Tea's at Studio One Cafe. They also really liked their dinner selection at La Perla. They were blown away by the desserts at Sweet Life.
Sunday we got an early start and trekked up to Portland to show them around and for Kala's Right of Election ceremony. We started with Breakfast at Mothers which was fitting as they celebrate moths and we had two of them with us.
Kala and I also managed to book flights and hotel reservations in Vegas for a concert in April over the weekend.
The weekend flew by. I'm hoping this week goes by just as quickly.
